Introduction to the Equipment Structure

The equipment features a horizontal configuration (see the structural schematic). The left‑side core assembly is fixed, while the right‑side core die reciprocates laterally along a cylindrical linear guide under the actuation of a hydraulic cylinder. A closed structure is formed on both sides by upper and lower pull plates, significantly enhancing the machine’s rigidity and precision. The hydraulic cylinder is mounted to the right‑hand fixed base via a flange and, by driving the intermediate moving component, performs the rim‑flaring operation.

Once the workpiece has rolled into position along the roller‑track alignment, the right‑hand die core rapidly advances toward the workpiece under the push of the hydraulic cylinder. Upon reaching the working position, the cylinder switches to the feed rate; at this point, the die core automatically centers itself and begins the flaring operation. When the feed stroke is completed, a proximity switch or pressure sensor triggers a signal, initiating the cylinder’s return stroke. Once the proximity switch detects that the cylinder has reached its designated position, it sends a reset signal, returning the cylinder to its home position and completing one machining cycle.

This machine consists of three main components: the main unit, the hydraulic transmission system, and the electrical control system. The main unit comprises the machine frame and the flaring die; the hydraulic transmission system includes the oil tank, the pump–motor assembly, and integrated valves; and the electrical system features an electrical control console, among other components. The main unit and the hydraulic transmission system are mounted on a concrete foundation and secured with expansion bolts, while the electrical cabinet is fixed to the rear of the machine frame.

Flaring die

This flaring machine requires the installation of a flaring die; different rim diameters necessitate the use of flaring dies of corresponding specifications.
